Flipping Objects in a Diagram

To flip objects about a specified axis in a diagram:

Procedure

  1. Select one or more objects that you want to flip.Tip When an object is flipped, and has styling applied again, the created decorations/shape respect the flip. See Applying Styling on Rotated or Flipped Objects.

Note If you select multiple objects, they are flipped as a group around one axis.

  1. Either:In the menu, press Space Bar and enter Flip.

Right-click on one of the selected objects, and then in the menu, select Flip.

The cursor changes to , and a dashed axis line appears along the sides of the object, or object group as you move the cursor around the selected objects.

  1. Move the cursor to the side of the objects where you want to flip them, and then click once.

Results

The objects flip over the axis line.

If text is included in a graphic group (such as a symbol), when you flip the graphic group the text is rendered in such a way that it maintains the same gap from the horizontal (flip) axis afterwards.
