Resizing Insulation Overview

As you resize an insulation layer or spot tape, the system automatically resizes any impacted upper or lower insulation layers as appropriate.

When you increase an insulation layer or spot tape height:

      If the increase is not greater than any overlapping upper layer –
        the layer is resized and upper layers are not resized.

    

    
      If the increase is greater than any overlapping upper layers – the
        upper layers are automatically resized.

    

    
      Offsets between layers are preserved to the minimum separation
        defined in the style set.

When you decrease an insulation layer or spot tape height:

      If the decrease is not greater than any overlapping lower layer – the
        layer is resized and lower layers are not resized.

    

    
      If the decrease is greater than any overlapping lower layers – the
        lower layers are automatically resized.

    

    
      Offsets between layers are preserved to the minimum separation
        defined in the style set.

Any automatic resizing respects the DefaultLayerHeightIncrement and SubsequentLayerHeightIncrement, you have configured to control layer height and offsets, see the Design Settings topic for further information.

Highlighting

To assist your visualization of the resizing, affected layers are automatically colored as you resize.

Zoom and Pan

When you have initiated the resize action, a right-click a context menu is available for various actions. You can also use your mouse to zoom and pan the diagram.
