Adding Breakout Tape

You can add an application of breakout tape to a junction.

Procedure

1. Press Space Bar and enter Breakout Tape. The cursor changes to .

2. Hover the cursor over a junction between three or more bundles; it changes to .

3. Click to place the breakout tape; the Add Breakout Tape Dialog Box is displayed.

4. Click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the Library Part field. The Part Selection Dialog Box is displayed to search for and insert a tape part from the library. The associated tape will be displayed in the Library Part field.

5. Click OK.

Results

• The breakout tape is placed onto the design. The following breakout tape entities are displayed: The component part number

A system-generated breakout tape symbol Note The breakout tape entities listed comprise the default offering as dictated by the style set shipped with Capital Harness Designer. Both the entities displayed, and the appearance of those entities, can be modified. See also the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide.

• The breakout tape is added to the Harness Design Browser.
