Creating

a Harness Level for a Harness

You can create a harness level for a harness and specify the options that are supported by that harness level.

Procedure

  1. Select a harness in the Design Browser (Design tab).

  2. Either:Right-click the selected harness, choose Define Harness Levels.

Press Space Bar and enter Levels. Select the Automate > Complexity > Levels ribbon action.

The Define Harness Levels Dialog Box displays.

  1. Click “Add a new Level to the harness” .The Add Level dialog box displays.

  2. Specify the name of the harness level and click OK.The harness level is added to the Levels table.

  3. If required, specify a part number for the harness level.

  4. Specify whether you want the harness level “Set as Active”.

  5. Select either models or variant options supported by the harness level.This video demonstrates the behavior when you select models and variants.

  6. Select any options supported by the harness level.Note If an option is selected for a harness level, this does not necessarily mean that the harness level has any wiring to support that option. The level may be fitted into vehicles that have that option, even if no wires are active for that option in this particular harness.
