Connector Attributes and Properties in Wiring Views
When you generate a wiring view of a synthesized signal or multicore, you can style the display of particular attributes and properties in the wiring view. You may want to do this for connector and cavity information. The system therefore copies and adds attribute and property values for refined connectors in a specific way.
The system copies attribute and property values from a specialized connector in Capital Systems Integrator to a connector object in the wiring view only when the data is unambiguous.
That means, in the wiring view:
If a connector object represents one specialized connector, then all attribute and property values are copied to it.
If a connector object represents multiple specialized connectors (variant connectors), then only attributes and properties values that are identical for each specialized connector are copied to it. For example, if a connector object represents two specialized connectors that have different Part Numbers but the same Material Code, the Part Numbers are not copied but the Material Code is. Note When an attribute or property value is ambiguous (that is, it is different for the represented specialized connectors), the system either: Leaves the value blank (for string attributes and all properties). Uses the default value (for boolean and numeric attributes).
The system adds the following property to a visualized connector in the wiring view:
- VizConnectorName This has a value that is the name of the specialized connector represented. If the visualized connector represents multiple specialized connectors, the value is a comma-separated list.
The system adds the following two properties to each cavity on a visualized connector:
VizConnectorPinName This has a value that is the name of the specialized cavity represented. For multiple cavities, the value is a comma-separated list.
VizConnectorDetails This has a value that is the name of the specialized connector and cavity represented, together with the variant option expression where that connector and cavity is used. For multiple connector and cavity combinations, the value is a multi-line property.
In the following example, VizConnectorDetails has been styled to display on the wiring view:

Here, you can see that specialized connector P1A and its cavity 1 is used in variant LHD, and specialized connector P1B and its cavity 1 is used in variant RHD.
