Creating a Pro Product Plan

You create a pro product plan at project level from within Capital Systems Integrator.

Prerequisites

The project is open in Capital Systems Integrator.
You must have Capital Configuration Optimizer.
A design can be open and active in the diagram window but does not have to be. If one is, the system will automatically associate the new plan with it.

Procedure

Right-click the Plans node in the Project Browser window on the upper left of the application and choose New Plan.Figure 442: Plans Node Note You can also go to the Automate tab of the ribbon at the top of the application, and select New Plan from the Complexity dropdown. If a plan is associated with the open design already, then Open Plan is displayed instead. That action will open the associated plan for editing, not create a new one.

The New Plan Dialog Box displays.

Specify a Name, Type, Short Description, and Description for the plan, and click OK.Note If must have Capital Configuration Optimizer in order to select Pro - Full Product Plan as the Type. Also, you cannot edit the Associated Design(s) in this dialog box.

Results

The plan displays below the Plans node in the Project Browser Window with a pro product plan icon (). If it is associated with the currently active design, it has a small circle ().

If a design with no associated plan was open and active in the diagram window, the system associates the plan with it.

You can now edit the plan. See Opening a Pro Product Plan. You can view and edit vehicle configuration information, import standard product plan formats, and generate VVD - vehicle variant definitions and EVD - electrical variant definitions

You can edit the plan’s name, and so on, by right-clicking it under the Plans node in the Project Browser Window and choosing Edit.

You can delete the plan by right-clicking it in the Project Browser Window and choosing Delete.

Caution

You cannot delete a plan that is associated with a design.
