Exporting Network Signals and Messages from Capital Dictionary

You can export network signals and messages in XML format from Capital Dictionary.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the user permission "Export & Import System Data".
  • The Capital Dictionary data must be saved.

Procedure

  1. In Capital Dictionary, click the Export action from the dropdown at the top of the user interface.

Results

A NetworkDictionary.xml file downloads to the default download location of your browser.

It contains data about:

  • Network signals
  • Network messages
  • Relationships between them (which signals are associated with which messages)

Note: The XML file uses a bridgesobjecttypeinfo.xsd schema that is available in the dtd directory of your Capital installation. See "Network Dictionary XML File" for an example.
