Used to define multicore wires within a design, either by constructing a multicore using wires that already exist within the design, or by adding a Multicore with an associated library part, in which case the required wires will be added to the design automatically.
Objects
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Available | This field lists all of the wires that exist within the design. Additionally, any multicores existing in the design are listed to enable selection for nesting within other multicores. Wires are listed by name, along with their Material, Spec, and Color. Multicores are listed by name, along with their type (Sheathed or Twisted), OS Material, OS Spec, and OS Color. If an inner core is created automatically based on the requirements specified in the library part definition, it will be given a name based on the parent multicore name, appended first with innercore and then with an incrementing number, based on the order in which it was added to the multicore. All wires and multicores are dimmed and unavailable for selection unless a multicore to which they can be added is selected in the Selected field. |
| Selected | This field lists all multicores that exist within the design. If one or more inner cores have been added, click [+] to the left of the multicore name to expand the list and view the inner cores as well as any screens or nested multicores. Once a multicore has been created (by clicking the New button) wires or existing multicores can be added to it as inner cores by first selecting the wire or multicore in the Available field, and then clicking the Add button. |
| New | Adds a new multicore to the Selected list. You must add at least one inner core to the multicore. Empty multicores are removed when the dialog box is closed. |
| Edit | Click Edit with a multicore highlighted in the Selected field to open the Edit Multicore Dialog Box, and modify the attributes or properties of the multicore. |
| Delete | Clicking this button with a multicore highlighted in the Selected field will remove that multicore from the design. If the deleted multicore is a parent of a nested multicore, the child multicore will remain on the design. |

Caution
If any non-Capital Harness Designer authored wires were modified, on closing the dialog box a message warns that all changes made will be abandoned. Changes made to valid Capital Harness Designer authored wires in the same session are also abandoned.
