Auto-Routing of Full Signals

Auto-route Full Signal mode honors settings for the full signal, even across any junctions. Junctions can be a splice junction or single pin inline with multi-terminations.

When the mode is enabled, conductors, splices, and in-line connectors placed along the signal path are re-routed and relocated in the case of the in-lines. The in-lines are placed in an optimal position for their connections and may rotate through 90 degrees to provide an optimized diagram.

Diagram rendering honors user specified auto-route project preferences values for diagram flow, wire/net spacing and minimum wire/net length. See also “Project Preferences for Capital Logic Designer Designs” in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.

The Auto-route Full Signal functionality routes from end to end, including in-line connectors and splices. In-line connectors must have one pin pair, and each pin must be connected to a single wire. Splices must also have at least two wires connected. Where junctions exist only splices and single pin-pair inline will be re-positioned.

Note

Shields will not honor the auto-route project preferences.

You can press the space bar and enter Auto-route Full Signal or click the Auto Route icon () on the Status Bar to activate or deactivate Auto-route Full Signal. The icon changes to indicate the active status and which Auto Route mode is active.
