Cached Synchronization Data

When you associate a Capital Logic Designer build list with a Capital Wiring Integrator design, Capital Integration Server saves the resulting, topological connectivity (wires, splices) to a cache in the database. When you next open the Capital Wiring Integrator design, the system loads the connectivity from the cache rather than recreating it. This makes the loading of the design quicker.

The caching mechanism works only for associated build lists. It does not work if you have associated only individual, logical designs.

The system writes the build list association to a user-specific area of the database. That means, if you open the Capital Wiring Integrator design in a Capital installation on another computer, you see the same build list associated.

A flexible execution model (FEM) task runs in the background and monitors the build list designs for changes. When it identifies a change, it updates the cache. The system loads the updated data from the cache whenever you open the Capital Wiring Integrator design.

The FEM task runs with default settings but you can configure them.

Note

If this task is not running, opening a Capital Wiring Integrator design will not use cache data and can take a little more time than opening with cache data.

If you do not use Capital Wiring Integrator, you can stop this task. If you use Capital Wiring Integrator, it is advisable to keep it running so that the system uses cache data when you open a design.
