Project Preferences

Project preferences are default settings that you specify for the designs and diagrams in a project.

You specify them in the Project Preference Dialog Box, accessed in the design applications by pressing Space Bar and entering Project Preferences.

You can also edit them in Capital Project Manager by opening a project, expanding the Project Browser Tree for that project and double-clicking the Preferences node.

Note

Some preferences work alongside Capital styling to control the appearance of designs. See the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide for more information about all aspects of Capital styling.

If a preference (for example, bundle thickness) is specified for an object type, whenever a new instance of that object type is inserted into a design, it will automatically assume this pre-set preference setting.

All new and existing designs within a project automatically inherit their project's preferences.

Note

Preferences can also be specified at the system level.
