Define Match Criteria Table
To access: From the Capital Logic Designer
Connectivity project preference, select Connectivity Match.
Used to specify the attribute or property (criteria match) to match device pins or connector cavities when the Connect By conductor action is invoked.

Note
Abstractions are not available in the dialog box for derivative tools. For derivative designs, the Default criteria and any added criteria are considered when you auto‑connect pins.

| Filter Popup | Hover over the header cell on each column to display the Filter button (). Click to open the Filter Popup to configure visibility and filtering on the column. Note The Filter button () remains pinned to the column header if you have applied a filter on the column. Optional. |
| Add Criteria | Click to add a new criteria to apply to the Connect By conductor action. Optional. |
| Delete Criteria | Click to remove the selected criteria row from the table. Optional. |
| Order Criteria | Used when you create multiple criteria for a single abstraction. Select a criteria and click to change the order that the criteria is used to determine the matching pins. The criteria at the top of the list is applied first. Optional. |
| Criteria Name | Lists the names of all the available criteria. A criteria named Default is created when you first open the project preference. The Default criteria applies to designs with no abstraction specified, and designs in abstractions if no additional criteria are specified. If a criteria is assigned to an abstraction, the Default criteria is not applied to that abstraction. You must specify a name if you add a criteria. Mandatory. |
| Matched by | Click to choose whether the connectivity is determined by a matching Attribute or Property of the device pins or connector cavities. Default is Attribute on the first criteria. You must choose an option if you add a criteria. Mandatory. |
| Pin Attribute/Property | Attribute Click to select the attribute type specified on the device pin or connector cavity. Default is Name on the first criteria. Property Click to type a property name specified on the device pin or connector cavity. You must choose an option if you add a criteria. Mandatory. |
| Abstractions | Click the ellipsis button (...) to choose one or more levels of abstraction of the design. The additional criteria are used to match pins contained in the designs assigned to the abstractions. You cannot assign an abstraction to the Default criteria. See the “Usage Notes” for an example of how the system uses multiple criteria when an abstraction is specified. A level of abstraction is a user-defined value that is assigned to a design and that indicates what type of design it is. For example, a top-level overview of a system could be labeled with a level of abstraction “System”, and a more detailed schematic of the same system could be labeled with a level of abstraction “Schematic”. Usage Notes
If the table is opened in subsequent designs, the last criteria you created is displayed automatically.
If multiple criteria are specified with the same abstraction, the connectivity is initially generated based on the criteria that is closest to the top of the list. For example, if the following criteria and layout are configured: Match Criteria Criteria 1 — Pin Name
Criteria 2 — Pin Type
Devices and Pins Device 1 — P1 (OUT), P2 (OUT)
Device 2 — P1 (OUT), P3 (OUT)
Device 3 — P1 (IN), P4 (OUT)
The following connectivity for both criteria is generated when you run a single Connect By conductor action: The pins with matching names (P1) are connect first, as Criteria 1 is higher in the table.
The pins with matching types (Device 1: P2, Device 2: P3, Device 3: P4) determined by Criteria 2, are connected using a separate splice.
Figure 228: Example Connectivity Result for Two Criteria Note If the connectivity on pins is valid for multiple match criteria (Device 1: P1), the connectivity is not generated again because the pin is already connected based on Criteria 1.
