Harness Processing

Harness processing includes all of the automated actions needed to verify the integrity of a harness, break composite harnesses down into derivatives, or module designs, and generate a bill of materials. Harness processing is presented as a wizard, enabling you to select the processes to perform, and configure the operation of those processes, before running the routine. Once harness processing has been completed, the results can be viewed in the design log.

This chapter explains the configuration of the harness processing system, and the processes and options available:

  • Harness Processing Configuration

  • Processing a Harness Design

  • Processing Actions

  • Harness Processing Status

  • Depopulating Redundant Objects

  • Configuring the FEM Task for Depopulate Redundant Objects

  • Depopulate Objects (Wire Driven) Constraint

  • Design Logs

  • Harness Processing Extensibility
