Updating Wire Lengths

After wire routing has taken place, actions that update the length of a bundle also automatically update wire lengths.

These actions include:

• Adding / removing an inline pair

• Synthesizing wiring

• Combining/splitting wire segments

• Replacing a wire when editing the topology

• Editing a wire path

• Bridging in data

• Moving a pin on a slot

• Any action that moves / stretches a bundle

• Changing wire paths in a Signal Map dialog box

You can manually update all wire lengths, which you might want to do before transferring the project to another application that will use them.

Procedure

Press the space bar and enter Update All Lengths; the wire lengths are updated.
