Adding a Center Strip Splice

You can add center strip splices.

Procedure

1. Add a splice at the point at which the center strip is to be positioned. See Adding a Splice without an Associated Library Part for more information.

2. Press Space Bar and enter Wires, or press the W key. The Edit Wires Dialog Box is displayed.

3. Select the wire to be center-stripped in the Wires list.

4. Click the Additional Info Tab. The Center Strip Splices section lists all splices on the design at which the center strip can be placed, as identified in the Name column.

5. Click to select the box to the left of the splice at which you want to place the center strip.Note You can select multiple splices, center-stripping the wire at each splice through which it passes.

6. Enter the Strip Length to be removed from the wire running through the splice.

7. Click OK, to close the dialog box.

Results

• The wire is placed at the selected splice, as indicated in the splice’s cavity chart. The Cav column entry for the wire displays CS instead of a cavity name, indicating that the wire is center stripped.
