Electrical Design Flow
Synchronizing the Library Data
You can run one-way synchronization of cable and cableway library data across the design applications to align the libraries in the Marine Electrical flow.
See the NX documentation on the Support Center to configure the NX cable router with the Capital Cabling Designer applications.
Cable Library
The cable metadata is created in Teamcenter, embellished in Capital Component Manager with cable structure and individual cable core data, and then synchronized to Capital Cable Router.
Note
Capital Cable Router acts as a secondary library to enable cable routing.
Only attribute values used to calculate cable routes are required to map to Capital Cable Router.
You can use a Capital Library Synchronizer task to schedule and export the cable library data to be transferred to Capital Cable Router. See also “Creating a Capital Library Synchronizer Import or Export Task in a Capital Installation” in the Capital Component Manager User Guide.
Note
This process requires a custom plugin to filter and convert the data from Capital Component Manager to the Capital Cable Router XML. Library data will not be embellished or modified.

Cableway
Library
The cableway library consists of Parts and Stock which are managed in the Teamcenter Classification, for example, cable trays, space reservation, and penetrations.
You can use an NX utility to schedule and export the Teamcenter Classifications to the Capital Cable Router importer.
You must define the primary attributes required to be exported and synchronized, for example, Part_Name, Part_Number, Part Category, Part Type.
Only relevant library data is synchronized to Capital Cable Router. This process is an automated, periodic one-way synchronization across the design applications.
Note
Capital Cable Router acts as a secondary library to enable cable routing. Library data will not be embellished or modified.
