Specifying the Standardized Options in a Design

You can specify which option codes are considered to be standardized options within a Capital Systems Integrator design. Components tagged with these option codes are always included on all physical harnesses but never appear on any option expressions and are never available for selection on any option based user interface.

Procedure

On the Automate tab of the ribbon at the top of the application, select Open Plan from the Complexity dropdown; the Basic Plan Editor Dialog Box displays.Note If a plan is not yet associated with the open design, New Plan is displayed instead. That action will open a new plan for editing.
Click the Set Standardized Options () button; the Set Standardized Options Dialog Box displays.
In the Available window, select the options that you want to specify as active and click Add; the options are added to the Standardized window.

Results

The selected options are treated as standard within all vehicle models in the Capital Systems Integrator design but with the following differences in behavior: These options do not appear on any expressions generated by the tool.

The design rule checks for Inconsistent harness option and Obsolete Option do not include these options in any output.

These options are not promoted to any harness or be available for selection on any harness.

When the system considers logical option expressions that contain these option codes, they are always considered ‘true’.

Standardized options cannot be modified in the Edit Options dialog box, that is, they cannot be set as variant/obsolete or be deleted.
Standardized options do not appear on any other dialog boxes in Capital Systems Integrator that display options.
When a vehicle model is imported, any options both in the database and in the imported data remain as standardized options regardless of their state in the imported data.
When a vehicle model is exported, all standardized options are included as standard options.
If you have changed an option to a standardized option after running wiring synthesis, it is present on harness levels and wires until synthesis is run again.
With regard to option relationships, if an option C includes an option D and C is made platform, D does not automatically get included in the set of standardized options.
