Nodes
A node is a location point in the 3D MCAD design used to identify the end points of segments along the path and locate devices and cableway equipment.

The design information on nodes is used in Capital Cable Router to identify nodes to be included or restricted from the cable route if routing rules are applied.
| Field | Description |

| Node ID | Unique identifier for the node. |
| Effectivity (NX) Applicability (Cable Router) | Value used to identify if an object is applicable to a specific vessel in a multi‑vessel project. Each major item in Capital Cable Router is associated with an Applicability value, which determines whether the object “applies” to one or more vessels (for example, value = “2”, “3” applies to the vessels number 2 and 3) or the whole “Class” of vessels (all vessels in the project regardless of their number). |
| Room | Node location or area code. |
| X Coordinate | Node X coordinate in the 3D MCAD design. |
| Y Coordinate | Node Y coordinate in the 3D MCAD design. |
| Z Coordinate | Node Z coordinate in the 3D MCAD design. |
| Comments | Comments about the node added in NX. |
| Is Major | Identifies Major or Minor nodes. Typically, Major nodes are at junctions and the ends of branches, and all other nodes are Minor nodes. It is permitted if all the nodes exported from NX are Major nodes. |
