Merging Multi Location
Node Components
The merge process uses a set of criteria to decide whether any Multi Location Components on the selected bundle on the member design and the target bundle on the merged design are equal, similar or different.
Equal
The merge process classes both objects as Equal when all of the following are satisfied:
The part number and its attributes are the same.
Attributes which are not driven by the part number (Quantity for example) are the same.
Both components are attached to the same nodes.
Similar
The merge process classes both objects as Similar in the following situation:
The part number and its attributes are the same (part number drives most of the attributes).
There is a difference in: The nodes they are attached to.
Attributes which are not driven by the part number.
