Edit User Account Dialog Box

To access: In the Capital Access Manager browser tree use one of the following methods:

• Right-click the User Accounts node and select New.

• Under the User Accounts node, double-click a user account, or right-click a user account and select Edit.

Used to create or edit an individual user account. To log into and use a Capital application, every user must have their own unique user account, containing an appropriate username, password (if not using delegated sign-on validation), and associated access rights defined in the Groups, Roles, Permissions, License Policy, Domains, and Change Policies tabs.

Objects

Object	Description
Full Name	Specifies the user’s full name.
Login Tab	Use to define account specific attributes.
Login Name	Specifies the unique account identifier to use when logging into Capital applications.
Email	Specifies the email address associated with this user account. For use with the Collaborate feature. Maximum 255 characters. Optional.
Change Password	Opens an Edit Password dialog box. A user account password is required when logging into Capital applications. The password must conform to strict password requirements. Applicable password configuration requirements are shown within the Edit Password dialog box. See Creating and Editing a User Account Login Name, Email Address, or Password for more details. Note If this user account is enabled for delegated sign-on validation, a default password of initial will be provided; this can be overwritten, but as delegated sign-on account passwords are not validated, there is no need.
Delegated Sign On	Select to enable Delegated Sign On (DSO) validation for this user account. This mode avoids the need for the user to log in when launching Capital applications. See Delegated Sign On for more information.
Derived Access Control	Select to manage this user account in Derived Access Control mode. This mode specifies that the user groups (and their assigned roles) enforce the user’s permissions, read/write access to domains, and change policies for this user account. See Derived Access Control for more information.
Inactive	Only visible to a user with administrative rights. Select to make this user account inactive. Accounts that are inactive cannot login.
Account is Locked	Only visible to a user administrator account. Select to lock or unlock this user account. Accounts that are locked cannot login. See User Account Password Policy Information for more details.
Upload Image	Select to open a dialog box and associate an image file as an avatar for this user account. An account avatar appears with any Collaborate content you create.
Last Login Time	Displays the last time and date a Capital application was run by this user account. Read only.
Password expiration date	Displays the time and date this user account's password will expire. See User Account Password Policy Information for more details.
Groups, Roles, Read-Only Domains, Read-write Domains, License Policy Tabs	Use these tabs to configure the groups, roles, read-only domains, read-write domains and license policy that apply to this user account, for access rights purposes.
Available	Lists the options that are available for selection. Choose the options and click Add to move them to the Selected window. Click Add All to move all available options to the Selected window.
Selected	Lists the options that have been selected. To remove options from the list, chose them and click Remove to move them to the Available window. To empty the list, click Remove All.
Permissions Tab	Use to display account specific permissions.
Permissions	Lists all the permissions assigned to this account. Permissions control which commands and operations individual users are allowed to perform in the Capital applications. See Permissions for more information.
Change Policy	Specifies a change policy to control which object attributes and properties a user can interactively create, modify, and delete within the Capital design tools. See Change Policy for more information.
Data Privacy Tab	The Product Excellence Program options are dimmed if the participation status is declined in the system preferences or your organization chose to decline data collection for all users when the software was installed. The Digital Product Experience options are dimmed if the participation status is declined in the system preferences. To change the participation status at the organization level, system administrators must use the Data Privacy system preference described in the following procedures in the Capital Project Manager User Guide: Turning Product Excellence Program Off or On Turning Digital Product Experience Off or On See also Choosing the Participation Status of Capital Product Analytics.
Product Excellence Program	Specifies whether you permit Siemens Digital Industries Software products to collect data analytics associated to your individual user account to improve the features and functionality.
Digital Product Experience	Specifies whether you permit Siemens Digital Industries Software products to collect data analytics associated to your individual user account to enhance your user experience.
