Configuring the VMware Graphics
Card
You must update the required graphics drivers to support OpenGL, and deactivate the Microsoft remote display adapter, if NX is running on a virtual machine.
You must also perform this procedure on a physical machine installed with multiple graphic cards to ensure that NX runs on the more powerful dedicated graphics card.
The default graphics card may be the less powerful Microsoft remote display driver, instead of the more powerful VMware graphics card.
To ensure NX uses the more powerful graphics card (VMware SVGA 3D), you must deactivate the Microsoft remote display adapter.
Procedure
- Specify the Group Policy Object in the Windows gpedit.msc file to deactivate the Microsoft remote display adapter for all NX installations.Copy`Administrative Templates (Computers) > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Service > Remote Desktop Session Host
"Use WDDM graphics display driver for Remote Desktop Connections" = false`
- Restart the virtual machine and reconnect using the Remote Desktop Protocol.
