Specifying the Physical

Length of a Bundle

You can specify (edit or override) the physical length of a bundle.

The physical length is initially determined by the length of the bundle on the diagram.

The bundle length is used when calculating the cost of any synthesized wiring. Overriding the length can therefore change the result of routing logical signals because the system selects the cheapest route.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the bundle in the Diagram Window or Design Browser (Capital Wiring Integrator) and select Properties. The Edit Properties: Bundle Dialog Box is displayed.

  2. On the General tab, select Override next to the Length field and change the value in the field.

  3. Click OK to exit the Edit Properties facility and to commit your changes.
