Simulate Harness Synchronization

A simulation generates detailed synchronization results, without the design changes being written to the database. Once you have reviewed the results, you can either modify your source or target designs, or simply run the full synchronization to apply the changes to the harness design.

When simulating a harness synchronization, none of the source designs are locked, enabling other users to continue working on those designs while the simulation runs.

To perform a synchronization in simulation mode, press Space Bar and enter Simulate Synchronize. The Synchronize Harness Designs Dialog Box opens in simulation mode, as indicated by the Simulation suffix in the dialog box name. All options, and the process for running the synchronization, are identical to a full synchronization.
