Edit Multicore Dialog Box
To access: Click the Add a new Multicore button () or the Edit button () in the Generic Multicore Dialog Box or Create Shared Multicore Dialog Box.
Used to create a multicore and edit the multicores listed in the Generic Multicore dialog box.
Objects
| Field | Description |

| Name | Specify a unique name for the multicore. Read-only if Default Name is selected. |
| Default Name | Select to name the multicore according to the default naming rules. See also “Default Object Names” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide. Optional. |
| Shielded | Select to create a shielded multicore with hookups on the indicators to attach a shield termination or daisy chain. The shield is listed under the Multicore node in the Design Browser. Default is selected. Clear to create a sheathed multicore. Restriction You cannot use the Shielded check box to create a shielded twisted multicore or to switch a shielded multicore to a sheathed multicore. To shield a twisted multicore, you must add the twisted multicore to another shielded oval or coax multicore. Optional. |
| Indicators | Lists the multicore indicator types defined in the style set. When creating a multicore, all the multicore indicator types are listed. When editing a multicore, only the indicator types for the type of multicore you are editing (shielded, sheathed, or twisted) are listed. Default is oval. See Overview of Multicores for more information about multicore indicators. Mandatory. |
