Deleting a Splice

There are multiple ways to remove a splice from a harness design.

Note

You can use the extend selection function to select all connected wires and multicores for deletion at the same time. See Extending a Selection.

Procedure

1. Select the splice to be deleted.

2. Do one of the following:Press Space Bar and enter Delete.

Right-click the selected entity and select Delete.

Press the Delete key.

Results

• The splice is removed from the design and from the Harness Design Browser.

• If no other components are anchored at the splice’s structure node, this is also removed.

• Wires and multicores included in any extended selection are also deleted. Note Depending on Behavior settings specified at Project level, you may be prohibited from deleting certain object attributes and properties. These are displayed as read‑only.
