Move Section

The Move Section manipulation handles are displayed at junction nodes on straight bundle segments and grip points. Use them to move junction nodes or grip points with all attached bundles to a new location while preserving the segment's geometry.

Toggle the handle icon between and using the mouse wheel.

Note

On full scale diagrams the handles only display for Flex Bundles.

Junction Node or Grip Point Behavior

When you use the handles to move a node / grip point and rotate and stretch the bundle segment:

  • The junction node / grip point is moved to the new location.

  • All attached bundles retain their length.

  • All attached bundles (and segment) change their orientation based on the source segment orientation.

  • You can use various modifier keys to interact with the orientation - see Manipulation Handle Behavior.

  • Use Proportional Bundle Stretch when resizing segments with reference nodes.

Loops

When you use the handles to rotate and stretch the bundle segments in a loop.

Note

On full scale diagrams, the handles are available only if there at least two Flex Bundles in the loop.

  • Junction node / grip point is moved to the new location.

  • All attached bundles, which don’t belong to the loop, keep their length.

  • All attached bundles (and segments), which don’t belong to the loop, change their orientation based on the source segment orientation.

  • You can use various modifier keys to interact with the orientation - see Manipulation Handle Behavior.
