Capital Harness Designer Modular > Module Code Assignation

Performing

Interactive Module Code Registration

You can manually select harness content and use it to automatically create new module codes, make these new codes applicable to your design, and apply the new codes to your selected content.

Procedure

  1. Drag and drop objects from any folder (in practice this will usually be the unassigned folder) in either the Module Browser, the Module Explorer, or the Module Scratchpad, into either the Harness Design node at the top of the Module Code browser tree, or into white space at the bottom of the Module Code browser.

  2. The New Module Code Dialog Box is displayed with the next appropriate module code pre-populated in the Name field.

  3. Either accept the pre-populated entry, or update it to one of your choosing, and add a description, if required.

  4. Click OK.

Results

The new module code is created, automatically made applicable to the design and assigned to your selected content.

Note

All module relationships are respected, such as mutually exclusive codes on wires. The system dynamically checks integrity during interactive editing.
