Transferring

Capital Database Manager LD Data Overview

The links to external parts and symbols in transformed Capital Harness Designer LD designs must be resolved to library definitions and symbols in Capital Component Manager that match the source data used in Capital Database Manager LD.

You can transfer Capital Database Manager LD data into the Capital database to replicate the source data and provide the links in the design applications for the parts and symbols in the transformed designs.

You can also use transfer to replicate new data in the Capital database or update the existing library definitions and symbols, independently of transforming a design.

The transfer process runs in the following order, and reports the progress in the Transfer Library Parts dialog box:

Invokes Capital Database Manager LD and exports the library definitions and symbols.
Invokes the symbol conversion tool and outputs a Capital Symbol Designer library.
Invokes the library conversion tool and outputs the Capital Component Manager definitions.
Imports the Capital Symbol Designer library into the Capital database.
Imports the Capital Component Manager definitions into the Capital database.
