Adding Extra Cavity Components

You can add extra components, such as labels, to a cavity using the Cavity Component Management dialog box.

Prerequisites

• Components are available for selection as extra cavity components

Procedure

1. Right-click the required connector, backshell, or device and select Cavity Component Management from the context menu. The Cavity Component Management Dialog Box is

displayed.

2. Click the Edit button, (), in the Extra Components field for the required cavity/wire/derivative/module combination row. The Extra Cavity Components Dialog Box is displayed.

3. Either:Select a component from the connector, backshell, or device housing definition as listed in the Housing Definitions Grid.

Select a component not in the connector, backshell, or device housing definition by clicking Add and searching in the Part Selection Dialog Box. The part number of the selected component is added to the Housing Definitions Grid.

4. Click OK.

Results

• The part number of the selected component is displayed in the Extra Components field on the Cavity Component Management dialog box.

• You can click the Delete button () to remove parts from the field.
