Exporting User Data

You can export all users, domains, roles, and user groups (otherwise known as user administration data or security data) in an XML file so that they can be imported into an installation of the Capital software.

Prerequisites

Your user account must have the Export User Administration Data permission (listed under Security > Data on the Permissions tab of the Edit User Account dialog box). See also Assigning and Editing Permissions and Change Policies on a User Account.

Procedure

1. Select File > Export User Administration Data. The Export dialog box is displayed.

2. Navigate to the location where you want to save the XML file, specify a file name, and then click Export. A message confirms that the data was exported successfully.Note User passwords are encrypted in the XML file.
