Changing

a Bought-In to In-House Twisted Sheathed Multicores

You can change the configuration of a bought‑in sheathed multicore to an in‑house twisted sheathed multicore.

Prerequisites

• You have identified a bought-in twisted sheathed multicore.

• You have created OTI Insulation Run Codes. See also “Object Type Information” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide.

Procedure

1. Open the Edit Multicores Dialog Box, select the required “bought‑in” sheathed multicore and click Edit ().The Edit Multicore Dialog Box is

displayed.

2. In the Library Part panel, click Delete () to remove the multicore part number.

3. Select the In House check box (the Sheathed radio button is already selected).The OS Color and OS Material fields display dimmed.

The OS Spec dropdown is enabled and is populated with the available OTI Insulation Run Codes.

The Shielded check box retains its previous setting.

4. Click the OS Spec dropdown list and choose the insulation run code.

5. If you require a drain wire, select the Shielded check box.

6. Click OK.

Results

• A new in-house twisted sheathed multicore is displayed in the Edit Multicores dialog box.

• The multicore is displayed in the Harness Design Browser.
