Toggling the

Visibility of Always Bypassed Wires

In certain cases, when bypass wires are synthesized, a wire can be bypassed in every harness level (in other words, it won’t be required in any built vehicle). While of little interest to the user, these wires are useful for calculating accurate option expressions and may also be required if the bypass wires are deleted or re-generated. Capital Systems Integrator therefore retains such always bypassed wires. In general, they are hidden from the interface, but you can toggle their visibility if required.

Procedure

Choose the Wire > Always Bypassed Wires action on the Home tab of the ribbon to toggle the visibility.

Results

When visible in the Design Browser (Design tab), always bypassed wires display grayed out and in italics.

When they are visible, you can open the Properties Dialog Box for an always bypassed wire but the dialog box is read-only and you cannot make changes.
