Edit Bundle Dialog Box

To access: Press Space Bar and enter Edit (with a bundle selected), right-click a bundle on the design and select Edit Bundle, or double-click a bundle on the design.

Used to edit the details of a bundle once it has been created.

Objects

Field	Description
Name	A unique label for the bundle (within this design). Type a name, or click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the field to select from a list of pre-specified bundle names maintained in the project’s Object Type Information in Capital Project Manager. If this field is left blank, the bundle is named according to any default names configured for the project in Capital Project Manager. Optional.
Short Description	Automatically displays the Short Description field of the bundle if it is already defined in Capital Project Manager. If no predefined information exists, you can enter and edit the Short Description. This attribute is then made available for use in styling and for search queries. Optional.
Length	The length of the bundle. Read-only.
Max Bundle Width	If the harness was bridged in from an MCAD application, this field displays the largest possible bundle diameter as specified within the MCAD tool. Optional.
MCad ID	If the harness was bridged in from another application (such as Capital Harness Classic or an MCAD application), this field displays the component's unique identifier as derived from the external data. Read-only.
Min Bend Radius	If the harness was bridged in from an MCAD application, this field displays the smallest possible bend radius through which a bundle can be manipulated as specified within the MCAD tool. Optional.
Width	The diameter of the bundle at its widest point, including all contained wires and multicores, as calculated during engineering calculations. Read-only.
Width With Insulations	The true diameter of the bundle at its widest point, including all applied insulations, as calculated during engineering calculations. Read-only.
Option Expression	Specifies the derivatives in which the node exists. To create or edit an option expression, click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the field and use the Edit Option Expression Dialog Box. Alternatively, you can enter or modify an option expression directly within the field. Optional.

Properties Tab	See Properties Tab Dialog Box.
Variant Tab	Used to create a variant length for the bundle. Multiple bundle variants can be added to the list.
Variant Expression	Click the ellipsis (...) to open the Variant Expression Editor Dialog Box and select the Option, Functional Variant Code (Capital Harness Designer Modular only) or Production Variant code (Capital Harness Designer Modular only), that the variant length applies to. Mandatory.
Variant Length	The length of the bundle as it should be represented within the specified Variant Expression(s). Mandatory. To delete a variant bundle length, select it and click the Delete button in the first column of the selected row, and then click OK to confirm the deletion.
Rules Tab
Add Rule/Constraint	Allows you to control the wire path on a harness diagram among a number of bundles and possible paths by means of a configurable constraint. See “Overview of Rules and Constraints” in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide to set the actual constraint. Optional.
