Deleting a Ring Terminal

There are multiple ways to remove a ring terminal from a harness design.

Note

You can use the extend selection function to select all connected wires and multicores for deletion at the same time. See Extending a Selection.

Procedure

1. Select one of the entities related to the ring terminal to be deleted such as its diagram symbol.

2. Either:Press Space Bar and enter Delete.

Right-click the selected entity and select Delete.

Press the Delete key. Note Depending on Behavior settings specified at Project level, you may be prohibited from deleting certain object attributes and properties. These are displayed as read‑only.

Results

• The ring terminal is removed from the design and from the Harness Design Browser. If no other components are anchored at the ring terminal’s structure node, the node is also removed.

• Wires and multicores included in any extended selection are also deleted.
