Adding a Fixture at an Elbow Between Two Segments

You can add a fixture on an elbow between two adjacent segments of a bundle.

Prerequisites

  • Grip points should be available on the bundle and the angle between the adjacent segments should be greater than, or equal to 1 degree, and less than or equal to 179 degrees. See Elbow Fixture Placement Conditions for further details.

Procedure

  1. Select the Add Fixture action () from the Home ribbon.

  2. When you hover over a valid location, the mouse cursor changes to a placement cross. Position the cursor over the elbow grip point where you want to place the fixture and click.A bisector arrow displays at the elbow between the segments, indicating the direction of the fixture.

  3. You can toggle where the fixture is to be placed by right-clicking, and selecting Place at elbow or place at grip point.A bisector arrow indicates the fixture is added at the elbow between the segments.

A circle at the middle of the bundle indicates the fixture is added at the middle of the bundle.

  1. Double click or press Enter to confirm position.The Add Fixture Dialog Box is displayed. Select a fixture from the library.

  2. Click OK.
