Properties Excluded from Bundle Merge Property Check

	Examples

You can use this project preference to refine the “Check Properties and Values when Merging Bundles” preference. The preferences are used by the composite or modular breakdown process when you run them with the “Merge Bundles and Identical Insulation?” setting selected.

Differing Property Value Example

In this example, the project preferences Check Properties and Values when Merging Bundles and “Properties Excluded from Bundle Merge Property Check” are set as in Figure 64.

The bundles in Figure 65 are candidates to be merged. The two bundles have the same property, “RefDim”, but with differing values, “1” and “0”, this means that the “Check Properties and Values when Merging Bundles” preference will not allow them to be merged.

However, you have specified “RefDim” in the “Properties Excluded from Bundle Merge Property Check”, which means the bundles can be merged. You have also specified a conflict value “0”, which is assigned to the newly merged bundle as in Figure 66.

No Conflict Value Example

In this example, the project preferences are set as in Figure 67. You have not specified a conflict value.

The bundles in Figure 68 are candidates to be merged. The two bundles have the same property, “RefDim”, but with differing values, “0” and “1”, this means that the “Check Properties and Values when Merging Bundles” preference will not allow them to be merged.

However, you have specified “RefDim” in the “Properties Excluded from Bundle Merge Property Check”, which means the bundles can be merged as shown in Figure 69. No value is assigned for the property because you have not specified a conflict value.
