Backbone and Daisy-chained

Networks

You can work with both backbone and daisy-chained networks in Capital. There are obvious differences between these types of network.

A backbone network has a multicore running between the two terminating devices and then additional devices are spliced into this ‘backbone’ multicore. The network therefore connects once to each device.

A daisy-chained network connects each pair of devices with a separate multicore. The network therefore connects twice to most devices and no splices are used.
