Creating a Must Have or Not Available Restriction on a Package

You can create a Must Have or Not Available restriction on a package.A Must Have restriction means a customer must order a package or option with another specific package or option. A Not Available restriction means a customer cannot order that package or option with another specific package or option.

Prerequisites

  • The packages and options involved in the restriction must already exist in the pro product plan (see Adding a Package to a Pro Product Plan).

Procedure

  1. From the Product Planner Dialog Box, either:Choose Tools > Vehicle Creator Tool from the menu.

Click the Launch Vehicle Creator Tool () button.

The Vehicle Creator Dialog Box displays.

  1. Click the Edit button at the bottom of the dialog box, the dialog box is placed in an editing mode.

  2. Choose Option/Package > Package Editor from the menu; the Package Editor Dialog Box displays.

  3. Click the Edit button at the bottom of the Package Editor dialog box, the dialog box is placed in an editing mode.

  4. Click the Edit Groups button; the Exclusive/Inclusive Package Editor Dialog Box displays.

  5. Click the Edit button at the bottom of the Exclusive/Inclusive Package Editor dialog box, the dialog box is placed in an editing mode.

  6. Right-click the MTH/NAW Groups window and select one of the following:CreateNew Package-To-Package Level Must Have Group > Add New Must HaveAND Group or Add New MustHave OR Group

CreateNew Package-To-Package Level Not Available Group > Add New Not Allowed AND Group or Add New NotAllowed OR Group

CreateNew Package-To-Option Level Must Have Group > Add New Must Have AND Group or Add New MustHave OR Group

Create New Package-To-Option Level Not Available Group > Add New Not Available AND Group or Add New NotAvailable OR Group

The Select Leading Option dialog box displays Note If the packages or options selected in a group is only one, it will display as an AND group, regardless of whether you selected and AND or an OR group. This has no impact on results.

  1. Select the leading package for which you are creating the Must Have or Not Available restriction and click OK; the group is added to the MTH/NAW Groups window.

  2. Right-click the group name and choose Add Package To Selected Group or Add Option To Selected Group; a Selection Dialog displays.

  3. Select the packages or options to be included in the group and click OK. When the group name is selected in the MTH/NAW Groups window of the Exclusive/Inclusive Package Editor dialog box, the packages or options display in the Packages window.

  4. Click Save&Close.
