Rotating a Table

You can manually rotate all Capital Harness Designer and Capital Harness Designer Modular tables around their centers.

Rotating a table enables easier reading of large complex shaped formboard diagrams where multiple people may be working on different sides of the same board.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • Tables can only be rotated through the following four 90 degree increments 0, 90, 180, 270.

  • Running Apply Style resets any rotated tables to their default rotation, unless the table is configured to be excluded from apply style or has its styling fixed.

  • You can only select and rotate one table at once.

  • Split table instances can be rotated independently of each other.

  • You can configure and preserve table rotations on derivatives and modules independently of their composite parent layout, see Preserving Changes Made to Derivative and Module Diagrams.

Prerequisites

  • A valid table is available on the diagram.

Procedure

  1. Select the table.

  2. Either Ctrl+> to rotate the selected table clockwise.

or Ctrl+< to rotate the selected table counter clockwise

or Ctrl+mouse wheel to rotate the selected table clockwise/counter clockwise.

Results

  • The selected table is rotated through 90 degree steps.
