Disconnecting a Signal from a Port
This topic describes how to disconnect a signal from a port.
If there is no connectivity between a port and a signal, a diamond is visible around the port in the Diagram Window.
If there is connectivity between a port and a signal, there is no diamond shape around the port in the Diagram Window.
Procedure
In the Diagram Window or Design Browser Window, right-click the port from which you want to disconnect a signal.
A pop-up menu is displayed. Select Disconnect Selected from the pop-up menu.Alternatively, you can click on the port to select it, press Space Bar and enter Disconnect Selected. When a port is selected a blue circle is displayed around it.
A diamond is displayed around the port to show that there is no longer any connectivity between the port and the signal. The signal and port do not move within the Diagram Window but the port is no longer displayed under the signal’s folder in the Design Browser Window.
