Merging and Bundle Width

Bundle widths can change as you merge and unmerge bundles. At any point during the merge process, the system uses the width of the largest merged bundle as the overall bundle width. This applies to both bundle width and the bundle width with insulation.By doing this, the process always ensures that a matching fixture can be selected.

Merging

As you merge a new bundle, the system compares its width with the previous value and, if larger, it replaces the previously stored width value.

Unmerging

As you unmerge bundles, the system uses the largest width value of the remaining bundles as the bundle width.

Example

Bundle	Width
Bundle A	1
Bundle B	2
Bundle C	3

If you merge the bundles in the order A, B, C, the bundle width will equal 3.

• If you unmerged Bundle A, the width will remain 3.

• If you unmerged Bundle C, the width will be 2.

If you merged the same bundles, but in the order C, B, A, the bundle width will equal 3 during all merges.
