Enabling Auto-Routing

Auto-routing enables the Route Selected action to be performed automatically on connected conductors.

Diagram rendering by auto-routing is controlled by the Auto-route project preference. This ensures the Auto-routing action honors user specified values for Diagram flow, wire / net spacing and minimum wire / net length. See also “Project Preferences for Capital Logic Designer Designs” in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.

You can press the space bar and enter Auto-route or click the Auto Route icon () on the Status Bar to activate or deactivate Auto-routing of Nets, Signals or Full Signals.

The icon changes to indicate the active status and which Auto Route mode is active:

  • — Auto-routing is off.

  • — Auto-route Net is on.

  • — Auto-route Signal is on.

  • — Auto-route Full Signal is on.

  • — Three-Phase Wiring is on. Auto-route will therefore automatically deactivated.
