Production Approach

Capital Harness Designer Modular also addresses the needs of Tier-1 harness suppliers whose main focus would be from an actual manufacturing production assembly perspective. Managing the process of the production of this assembly is a challenge, whether it is for the finished version of a harness, or just a sub-module portion of it.

Utilizing the Production Module approach, the derivatives or sub-modules can be split into smaller part-completed pieces that can be produced individually to suit manufacturing constraints and maximize the efficiency of production resources. These are then assembled together to produce the final product delivered to the customer, for example an OEM.

In this flow, the functional demands of the engineering feed the creation of production modules, while the practicalities of actual manufacturing can also feed back from the production side into the functional.
