Displaying Additional Property Columns for Signal to Message Mappings

In Capital Dictionary, you can customize the Signals to Message screen to display additional property columns for a signal to message mapping. The additional columns display between the Revision and Short Description columns.

Procedure

  1. Locate a file called messageproperties.json.example in the webclient/configuration/dictionary directory of your Capital installation and rename it to messageproperties.json (that is, remove .example from the name).
  2. Edit the signalRelationProperties section of the file.

For example:

CAUTION: You must ensure that you specify a different SortIndex value for each property column. This controls the order in which they display after the Revision column.

Results

When you next access Capital Dictionary and access a Signals within Message screen, the columns display as you have configured them in the file.

In the example, Multiplexing/Group and StartBit columns display.

CAUTION: You must refresh the browser for your changes to display in the panel.
