Adding an Insertion Point to Hide a Section of Harness
To hide sections of a formboard harness diagram, you must add an insertion point to a structure or reference node.
Prerequisites
If you need to manually add insertion points directly on a derivative / child designs you must first have selected the Allow child design diagram insertion point addition System Preference. See Project Preferences for Capital Harness Designer and Capital Harness Designer Modular Designs for more details.
Procedure
- Click the Add Insertion Point action () on the Home ribbon. See “Insertion Point Ribbon Actions” for alternative ways to invoke the action.Note The message area on the Status Bar, which runs along the bottom of the screen, displays instructional and dynamic tool tips relevant to the actions you are currently performing.

The cursor changes to ().
Valid nodes are highlighted as you hover over them. Select the required node and hover the cursor over attached bundles. The bundles are highlighted.
Click the highlighted bundle attached to the section of harness that you want to hide. Use Ctrl+click to select multiple bundles and hide multiple sections.
Results
The insertion point is added.
The section of harness attached to the selected bundle is hidden.
