Automatic Fixture Part

Number Selection

You can set fixture constraint parameters to enable the automatic selection of fixture part numbers when you run any of the following actions.

Automatic Part Number Selection Rules, which take into account the position of the fixture and certain criteria defined in Capital Component Manager, (see Figure 321), are applied to make the part number selections.

Figure 320 shows the available constraints in the Fixture Constraint Dialog Box. The parameter “part number=”, is available in all default fixture constraints with the exception of the “Place Fixtures on Structure Node with .” constraint where you must specify the manually (detailed in the “Automatic Part Number Selection Rules” topic).

To override the auto selection, click the element and specify a part number in the Part Selection dialog box.

To remove a part number, click the part number element in the constraint to open the Part Selection dialog box and then close the dialog with an empty part number field. This reverts the element to .

Figure 321 shows the parameters set on the Fixture Details tab in Capital Component Manager that are taken into account by the Automatic Part Number Selection Rules.
