Introduction
Capital Cable Router is a web-based tool designed to create electrical cable routing in a 3D cableway network, with the following capabilities:
- Automatic rule-based routing of cable batches.
- Optimization of cable routes using interactive and 3D-assisted routing.
- Granular routing approval and control.
- Integration with ECAD design in Capital Cabling Designer, MCAD design in NX, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in Teamcenter.
Capital Cable Router is typically used in Marine vessel (shipbuilding) applications and comprises two interfaces which integrate with NX and Teamcenter as part of the Marine Electrical flow:
- Capital Cable Router Admin — Server database interface, used by System Administrators to create and configure the routing project and set up the generic routing engine.
- Capital Cable Router — Web-based interface, used by Routing Engineers to manage the daily automatic and assisted cable routing within the context of the 3D design.
