Consolidated Reports Overview

Use consolidated reports to see details of all the required material, wires, multicores and connectivity of a harness family, a set of modules or a whole vehicle set.

You can use these reports to feed internal processes with high quality data right from the beginning of your design process.

You can also generate a “delta” Change Impact Report to show the impact of a design change to a set of designs. This report identifies changed, unchanged, new and removed content.

• Use the Consolidated Reports Wizard Dialog Box to configure and export the reports. Use the Change Impact Reports Wizard Dialog Box to configure and export the delta Change Impact report.

• The reports are exported as Microsoft Excel XLSX files.

• The files are named using the following convention (to avoid overwriting files in a multi user environment): Capital username

Name of the Report

Timestamp (yyyymmdd_hhmmss)

For example “user1_ConsolidatedBOMReport_20210119_102503.xlsx”

• The reports include XLSX pages that display: The configured consolidated data.

A configurable pivot table summary of the consolidated data, that you can use to generate different views on the reported information.

• You can use plugins to create your own consolidated reports or extend the existing reports. See Extensibility Plugins in the “Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide”.
