Dimension Extension Line Styling
You can resize and manually modify the start and end offsets of the dimension extension lines to avoid the line traveling through any symbols attached to the node.
Note
Dimension extension lines, as with all harness objects, can be styled. This includes specifying the offset value for the start and end of the extension lines by using Styling. See the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide to change the appearance of dimension extension lines.
Procedure
Select one or more of the extension lines that you want to modify.
Either:Press Ctrl+Arrow key to move the line up or down, as required. For finer grained control press Shift+Arrow key.
Click the line and select the grip point on the upper or lower end. Extend the line length as required. Note You can only move the extension line upwards to the point where the line is still touching the lower dimension arrow. When the dimension style is toggled between reference, standard and/ or external, the offset value is retained subject to the rules governing the new style.
