3D Electrical Design Interface in Designcenter NX
The 3D Electrical Design interface is divided into discrete areas, each offering consistent functionality in both Designcenter NX and Capital.

| 1 | Quick Access toolbar | Contains commonly used commands such as Save and Undo. |
| 2 | Ribbon bar | Organizes commands into tabs and groups, including the Capital ribbon tab that holds ribbon actions for Capital functions. |
| 3 | Top Border bar | Contains the Menu and the Selection group commands. |
| 4 | Resource bar | Contains navigators and palettes, including the Capital navigator. |
| 5 | Capital Navigator | Gives access to Capital design and wiring. Contains the following: Design Browser Wiring Browser |
| 6 | Graphics window | Displays documents from Designcenter NX and Capital in either tabbed or tiled mode. |
| 7 | Capital output window | Displays various tabs related to particular actions:. Sync Tab Routing Assistant Design Rule Checks Output Window Back Annotate |
| 8 | Predict commands | Displays a list of commands to complete your task. Designcenter NX collects data about how you use commands, analyzes this data to determine the frequency and sequence of use, and suggests a list of appropriate commands, including Capital commands, for you to use next. |
Cross-highlighting
Selecting an object in either the Capital navigator window or the graphics window will highlight it in the other windows.
